- LOCOMOTIVE (just arrived) SECTION
- NEW IN. 7 1/4" Heisler USA Logging Locomotive. Part built with lots of very good work done and a New Professionally made Steel Boiler with Copper tubes & certification. Chassis done, with V twin engine built with reversing gear. This loco had front and rear bogies (one done and the other well on the way) driven via a drive shaft from the V twin to the axel's bevel gear housing. The smoke box, chimney, light and door all done. The ash pan and grate also done to a high standard. Great to have the professionally made and unused boiler with all the builder's creditation and certification. We also have the initial club hydraulic, twice working pressure shell test and also the builder's material details with samples. We also have a group of drawings (not checked if all there) along with the Heisler build book by Kozo Hiraoka. Will be quite a stunning engine especially with what looks to be a high standard of workmanship. Photos just added below.
- NEW IN. 7 1/4" King 4-6-0, 4 cylinder live steam loco kit/project with New GB Professionally made Copper Boiler. Mostly castings including the 3 cylinder blocks in bronze, machined driving wheels & axels, and a box of castings that I have not been through yet but include bogie and tender wheels. The bogie frame and smoke box (with door & ring) also present. We also have the assembled frames and an almost done tender chassis albeit a bit rusty. We also have a 7 1/4" Collet 4000 gallon tender brass kit, from Polly Models, with pre formed sides that currently retails for £1,350. I am happy to sell this loco project without the boiler if not required. I will know more when I study what is there, but do call if interested as quite a find to get the castings and boiler to complete this hugely impressive engine.
- NEW IN. 5" Bulldog 4-4-0 GW tender loco project for sale. With New GB Professionally made Copper Boiler. Wonderful looking Keith Wilson designed loco serialised in the Model Engineer mag, volumes 144 to 148. Complete rolling chassis and tender with plate work. Looks a but untidy as been sat on the bench for a while so will need cleaning and some rust removing. Needs cab doing and boiler installing. I am happy to sell this loco project without the boiler if not required. I will know more when I study what is there, but hope to get some photos soon. Please do call if interested.
- NEW IN. 5" Britannia castings and boiler kit. Includes frames assembled with horns and cross menbers etc. The axel boxes are done (also carefully numbered with ball races inserted) and look to be done to a high standard of engineering. All the wheels on this loco have ball races present in the kit to use. Also includes tender frames and all tender platework (partially assembled). Complete Perrier Copper Boiler kit from Reeves (main tube with the boiler strap riveted and silver soldered by Reeves themselves). Main tube is approx 11 gauge and sheets for boiler wrapper is approx 10 gauge. Castings are original Spink including gunmetal cylinders. The previous owner informs me the casting kit is complete (you will need to acquire nuts/bolts/rivets, boiler fittings & pipework... as normal) and having previous dealings with the same gentleman I am confident this is the case. He is a diligent and well organised individual. There is also a Doug Hewson supplied rolled smokebox barrell, tender frames, and Doug Hewson cnc machined connecting rods. The tender is well on the way as is the 1D class tender. We also have 5" BR1A tender kit from Model Engineers Laser, Doncaster if wanted. Just added below. Quite an unusual opportunity for someone to acquire a complete Spink casting kit with Reeves boiler kit in one hit. I am happy to retain the boiler kit if you would just like purchase the rest.
- NEW IN. 5" Dougal live steam Copper Boiler. Professionally made with CE and working & test pressures stamped on the backhead. Never used. Comes with majority of the backhead steam fittings attached. Dougal is the 0-4-0 Welshpool tank loco, designed by D.Malcolm. Current price of a new boiler is over £2,200 so at £1,795 and to include all the fittings with no waiting lead time, it's a good buy. Just arrived but photos available, so please do call and ask.
- New in 3.5" Jubilee 2-6-4 Martin Evans designed live steam tank locomotive project. The chassis is almost complete and not far from being a running chassis. It needs valves and valve cover. Linkages all done but needs rod from reversing handle to the reversing linkage. Has a double acting axel water pump, brakes (needs operating lever), lever operting drain cocks, and there is cylinder steam pipes and a nicely made lubricator ready to be fitted. So, a minor amount of work to complete the rolling chassis. Needs running boards, smokebox, chimney, boiler, cab and water tanks. The quality of engineering looks super, with the wheels and motion turning over reasuringly tighlty without out being worringly tight, if that makes sense. We also have the drawings 1-7. - New in 3.5" William 2-6-2 Martin Evans designed powerful tank locomotive. Complete with current club test certificate in Nov 2023 (Hydraulic & Steam). Professionally Morewood boiler. This is an older loco however the previous owner did sing its praises, confirming it pulled 8 adults round his track. Connecting rods all feel sound, a bit of play in a valve linkage pin/bush, but I'm beeing picky, it would be an easy job to improve. Dark blue livery. Just arrived, photos just taken, please call if you would like them emailed.
- New in 3.5" County Class 4-4-0 part built locomotive. GWR County Carlow. Chassis looks complete and owner has informed me that the chassis runs on air. I will check this. Don Young's design. Smokebox done. Tender needs doing but wheels, axel boxes, horns & leaf spring castings are present. Dome also present and a box full are items that I have not gone through yet !! Drawings by Don Young are clear and in good condition. Photos just taken, soon to be posted but please call if interested.
- New in 3.5" Doris, LBSC's smaller Black 5 live steam locomotive. 4-6-0 LMS tender loco. Built in the 80's is is very well built, has a real quality to it. Rolls freely with copper silver soldered boiler and original test certificate from 1982. Impressive engine with the original black livery stil looking fresh. Photos coming soon, but do call if interested as I have a few photos from the previous owner (Son of the builder).
- Just Arrived 3.5" Martin Evans Jubilee 2-6-4 tank loco chassis. All wheels done on frames including bogie and trailing truck. Also axel twin water pump all done with eccentrics. Smokebox also present. 35-36" long, 5.75" wide. I have just taken some photos, so probably best if you see those first. At £375, hopefully a bargin for someone.
- TRACTION & WAGON (just arrived) SECTION
- New in. ACHINGLY GOOD, 2" Fowler Showmans live steam traction engine. Built from castings, not kit built. Very, very, very fine model indeed. I really can't say much more but put the photos up for you to see. This the only traction engine from a builder, who's limited number of intricate and powerful 5" gauge locomotives have sold to very serious collectors. This Fowler Showmans is by far the finest out of the 7 or 8 Fowlers and Burrells I have owned over the last decade +. Photos just added below. For someone who appreciates exhibition quality.
- NEW IN. 3" Burrell live steam Plastow Traction engine kit with New Cheddar Valley Professionally made Copper Boiler & certificate. Includes castings (not sure if all), cut gears, wheels and smokebox with chimney mostly done. I am happy to sell this Burrell project without the boiler if not required. I will know more when I study what is there, but hope to get some photos soon. Please do call if interested.
- NEW IN. 3" Foden live steam Wagon project with New Cheddar Valley Professionally made Copper Boiler & certificate. Chassis with steering and complete rear end done and painted. Wheels all there to be installed. Cab well underway with roof and front section. Engine and motion need making. Cylinder block present with castings (not sure if all), cut gears, etc. I am happy to sell this Foden project without the boiler if not required. I will know more when I study what is there, but hope to get some photos soon. Please do call if interested. This is a great start to an impressive size wagon.
- New in 3" Savage live steam wagon kit of castings. Supplied by Little Samson Models. I have been advised there is a complete set and it includes the drawings too. There is also the U section steel for the chassis and curved sections understood to be for the suspension springs. The wheels are very substancial being approx 10.5" and 9" diameter. No work has started, so cylinder can be machined freshly. Photos just added below. A great model and a bit different to the more common Clayton, etc.
- New in 2" Clayton undertype live steam wagon project. Chassis with frame, axels, wheels, tyres, gears, steering, etc all done. Engine started with pistons and standard slides done. Valve chests and valves done, jus need attaching and valve covers drilling.. Sump and engine casing sides present. Crank also done and looks very well enginnered out of one piece of material, with bearings. There is also a complete and wooden clad copper boiler, with top plate and chimney. We would consider selling the boiler or chassis seperately or together. Photos coming soon. Do call to discuss if interested.
- GARDEN RAILWAY (just arrived) SECTION
- New in Roundhouse Jennie (Green livery) tender 0-4-2 live steam loco. Fixed at 32mm. Original box and very good conditon with original paperwork. Has some very useful additions including: Water gauge, pressure gauge, pop safety valve, Summerlands chuffer to enhance sound & valve gear combination lever fitted. Just arrived, photos just taken, please call if you would like to see them.
- New in & Very Rare Roundhouse Michael (Green livery). We think only 10 (This one being No 3 as shown from the unique number side plate) produced for SMD Models in 1991, so a special collectors items. 32mm & 45mm. Fitted with RC control including transmitter. Summerlands chuffer fitted, but otherwise standard. Just arrived, photos just taken, please call if you would like to see them.

- New in Victory (Burgendy livery) 0-4-2 live steam loco. 16mm Association loco that used the Roundhouse boiler, gas tank, running and valve gear, etc. Axels means wheels can be set at either 45mm or 32mm. - MARINE (just arrived) SECTION
- New in Superb Bilsdale paddle steamer project. Very well built and decent size twin oscillating engine. Paddles really do look excellent, made from brass when so many choose the easier aluminium. They have the feathering mechanism, and turn very smoothly. Well insulated boiler, gas tank in the bow and area for RC gear in the stern. The hull is in primer and the deck & bridge is made but in bare wood, so ready to paint/detail. Just arrived but best to call if you are after a paddle steamer with excellent potential.
- STATIONARY ENGINE (just arrived) SECTION
- Selection of Stuart stationary engine kits of castings. A number of original Stuart Henly-On-Thames. There may be a small number of castings that have minor rust and I have not checked the small packed bags of nuts and bolts, however can do so before buying. Please remember these are very good old quality castings.

- Stuart Manual Feed Pump. New set of castings complete with gland packing, stainless balls, fixings pack, brass unions, plunger lever & pins. All in original packing and box. The older type Stuart box with original label stating the old name of "Hand Force Pump". Probably collectable ! There are no drawings but these are easy to obtain. £40
- New in Wyvern gas/petrol engine by E.T. Westbury and supplied by Hemmingway. Part built but quite a bit is done including, base, cylinder, head, crank, gear drive to points/cam and flywheels. The carb needs finishing as does installing piston & crank shaft. The spark plug and ignition are present as are the drawings. Model is also painted. Engineering standard looks very good. The Wyvern engine is a horizontal, open crank stationary engine. MEasures 12" x 8" x 6" with a pair of 6.5" diameter flywheels. 1.25" bore with a 2" stroke. - New in Cheddar Gas Servo Control Valve. New with instructions. With the servo arm & pilot valve. Has an adjustable bleed valve (small thomb wheel) that sets the min flow of gas to the burner so that it stays alight when the boiler is up to pressure. This device is on it's own, not with the electronic EGV. Photos available. £45.
- New in 2 x New servo arm controlled simple gas on/off valves for gas flow.. Look professionally made with gas direction indicator. Not sure of the maker.. Photos available. £30 each.
- ME Beam engine 9.25" flywheel casting supplied by Reeves. New & unmachined. £35 (RRP £53). We also have a well made (home made) Centre Column for the ME Beam engine for just £25.
