Live steam plant for a boat or launch with twin Modeen oscillating engine for sale. Very much like the Cheddar Puffin or Proteus boiler but please have a good look at the photos to check yourself.
Twin oscillating engine has useful revering lever. Engine is a Modeen, designed by Ron Needham and documented by Colin Laker. Apparently the engine will happily propel a launch up to 40" long
Boiler will need testing before using. I have not run this unit however the previous owner did and sucessfully. Looks like a bit of water furing residue on lower boiler fitting of the water gauge.
The Boiler is 5.5" long and has a diameter of 3.5". One burner tube.
A lovely engine and boiler combination. Has a real quality feel about them when in the hand.
