Understood to have been built by Alf Conrad, along with the coaches.
Extremely interesting G1 4-2-0 French L'Est railway network La Belgique Number 604 live steam loco. 604 was the first Flaman Boiler on the French network and the loco was also known as 'The Camel'.
It is a Crampton locomotive with a steam storage facility sat on the water boiler that is completly filled fire tubes giving more heating surface area. The boiler was filled with water and the steam stored in the upper tank.
This model has super detail and I have not seen one before, so really quite special. A lot of effort has also gone into making the tram like passenger wagons. A few arm rests need replacing, and a set of steps need re attaching, but nothing major.
La Belgique is 47cm total length (27cm engine & 20cm tender), 9cm wide and 15cm to top of chimney.
Passenger wagons are both 22cm long (including buffers), 10cm wide and 13cm tall.

Built by Tom Barratt of Chelmsford. 10mm to the foot.
LMS Midland 2P is 55cm total length (engine 32cm + tender 23cm), 14cm tall to chimney and 8cm wide. Feels well made. Meths burners, central cylinder, and has a very solid build quality to it. Appears to have just had it's build test steam.

Understood to have been built by Alf Conrad, to accompany his Shay.
Two very nice timber wagons. Both are 51cm long (add a little for linking arms), 9cm wide and 13.5cm tall. Both the same size but different size wood trunks, and look superb. One has a water tank with some sort of circuit board and the other has a batter pack. I guess when together they were perhaps a water pump etc. The circuit board and battery pack will likely need replacing.
Quite a heavy very built build wagon, and very much look the part.
Price: £ 495 for the pair. (No additional
VAT to add)

A wonderful quality build by a very skilful engineer. Built back in the 80s using the Locosteam parts and drawings. The builder tought engineering to a high level and as a result practiced what he preached ! Built and run the once on air to prove running it has been a display item since. The builder did say she could do with a removable to cab to make running more practicable. Gas fired, but really built as a fine display model as access to cab controls make it difficult. Slip eccentric reversing. Lubrication by manual access to smokebox as no real room for displacement lubricator.
Silver solder copper boiler, no seems. Bronze block soldered at the back. Cylinders machined from solid. Burner made by hand, to drawings, not bought in.
Tanks together made out of one very cleaverly folded piece. Viton rings.
Price: £ 1475. (No additional
VAT to add)
