New in & WONDERFUL Stuart steam plant. Exceptionally well made Stuart 7A vertical single & Stuart number 8 horizontal, powered by an impressive Stuart Babcock 504 boiler & also a hand water pump. Modern gas tank (supplied by Forest Classics). All mounted on a very impressive and nicely chamfered hardwood board.
Engines built in 1982 and both have a lovely engraved brass nameplate with maker's name 'Paul Hughes", year built and engine model. The connecting pipework is also very nicely done. The Boiler has had it's asbestos sheets replaced and looks superb with it's recent black power coated coachwork. Just a super item to display or run. Board measures 28" x 16". Almost forgot to mention, both engines have Stuart lubricators.
There is an additional ceremic burner with the plant in case needed. Needs pipework. The manual water feed pump needs a water supply added, if to be used.
Very unusual to find such a well presented Stuart plant with all the items incredibly well made. Not overpainting, hiding poor engineering quality, like so many other example out there.
Board has carring handles.
An impressive layout and quality of the engineering makes the plant work extremely well as a display item.
Price: £ 1,995. (No additional VAT to add)
