Exhibition quality 2" Burrell Showmans live steam traction engine. Has been shown at the Midlands Model Exhibition 3 times. From the 1980s this build is really quite special. Bishop Ellis copper boiler.
The complete build and paintwork is a joy. Built by Frank Ashmore, shown in the build photos below. Has been steamed but not recently. These compound engines have super detail and take an age to builtd properly, a real labor of love.
I have had 3 or 4 of these 2" Burrell showmans engines, and this one really is up there. In addition to the superb emeal engineering, the canopy also shows wonderful wood detail and the lights have been very well installed. The canopy lettering are stuck on but this will allow for your own signwriting choice.
