3.5" Rob Roy 0-6-0 Martin Evans designed Caledonian live steam tank locomotive for sale.
This is a project that we understand was a running chassis before taken apart for the frames and wheels to be painted, which still needs doing. The grey on the side of the frames is just a bit of filler to cover the recessed screws. The cylinders and motion are grouped together as cylinder 1 & 2.
The axel boxes and keeps are all numbered, a good sign. The brass platework and riveting for the cab and tanks looks particularly good. Very good quality and strong.
Great news that there is also an original & unstarted Reeves boiler kit boiler with the 5 ready flanged end plates.
Great value as a boiler kit alone would be in the region of £700 if you could find one.
