1.5" Allchin live steam traction engine kit/castings. I was told it's a complete set of castings. I have not been through them all but it certainly looks comprehensive, but please check the photos yourself. These are Reeves castings. In addition to the standard Reeves kit (RRP £1645 you also have gears, drawings, boiler kit (not sure if complete), model engineer mag articles, wheel spokes and strakes, water tank former (see last 2 photos, no longer available from Reeves), etc, etc.
Please remember this is a bargain as the standard kit from Reeves come without without gears, steering worm, spokes, strakes, drawings, former, boiler kit etc.
I have to check if the boiler kit is complete but this is now £800 from Reeves.
I have not counted all the strakes and wheel spokes. I also do not know if all the gears are present, however there are 8 standard flat gears (8 spur gears perhaps), and what looks to be a further 2 large bevel gears (differential gear) with 3 matching small bevel gears, and then a pair of worm gears (perhaps for steering), and a couple of small bevel gears that I think are for the governor.
The last but one photo on the right (Above) shows a few bits and pieces that I am including becuse I found them with the kit. They might or might not be relevant, but better you have them.
The second boiler parts photos, are a secondary group of copper boiler parts in addition to the boiler kit on the first photo. I guess the previous owner acquired these on the way, however you are welcome to them.
Please be aware in addition to Reeves £1645 price, a boiler kit is £800, 8 spur gears are £252, differential gears are £220, and steering worm is extra as are strakes and spokes. Nice to have the Model engineering mags. There are drawing too (old !!) and the W.J. Hughes 'Building The Allchin' book.
