An important piece of Myford history. This Myford high-swing ML7 lathe
with clutch was originaly designed for Ferodo Limited, the clutch and brake lining firm. Very few were made, this being the only one I have ever seen in the flesh. Ferodo equiped their motoro and motorcycle racing team vans with these high-swing lathes to enable them to turn brake and clutch linings. Could also cope with some wheel hubs. Having a light lathe with such an impressive swing was ideal for transporting in a mobile workshop.(K49000). Imperial.
The serial number of K49000 implies this could be one of a kind (or the first of a kind) and a massive collector's find.
Original paintwork, has the added advantage of the clutch, and first impressions point to it being looked after. Bull and backgears look in great condition too.
Risers to the head, toolpost & tailstock add 3" to the 3.5" clear, meaning a swing of 13" clear above the bed.
Supplied with a single phase motor, however a 3 phase motor is available if required.
