A real gem of a live steam launch for sale. At 40" (add another 3" for the rudder) in length it is a nice size and built with loving care to an extremely high standard.
This is a scratch built model using the extremely well thought of model kit from Krick called 'Victoria'. The kits are now Calder Craft and the 'Victoria' kit currently costs over £500. The hull is ABS moulded, with the rest of the structure from timber. The fact that Victoria was one of the first steam launch kits you could buy and that she is still available today demonstrates just how loved this model is by many model makers. The build quality of this Victoria is stunning and looks better in the flesh than the photos. Built almost 30 years ago it has a lovely quality patina, and in addition to working well as a steam launch, looks stunning as a display item too. The steam plant is the very desirable Maxwell Hemmens Maxi 11 engine driving by a Cheddar Models vertical boiler.
You can see two boilers shown in the above photos. The one currently installed in the launch is a Cheddar Models boiler, however we also have the Maxwell Hemmens boiler that originally came with the Hemmens Maxi 11 steam engine. Both boilers have steam certification allbeit they will both need re testing as currently out of date. You are welcome to choose which boiler you would like. The price below is for the inclusion of one boiler.
Please note the Maxwell Hemmens Maxi 11 steam engine does have it's bridged water pump, although not shown above.
The launch is all set up for Radio control use, rudder, steam engine running speed and forward/reverse. The RC gear is complet with transmitter, receiver and battery charger.

I hope to take some more photos showing just how good the quality of the woodwork (decking, etc.) is. Viewing is highly recommended.
