A very tidy indexing unit, with Myford thread to fix a chuck or similar. I think it might well be a Dore Westbury design for their great little milling machine. Having said that would also suit any other milling machine.
Has a locking ring and the ability to divide/index 24, 12, 8, 6, 4, 3 & 2 given the 24 tooth ring.
The indent could do with a sring system, but this could easily be added.
This unit, with the locking ring, can also be used as a hand turn rotary table.
The quality of the casting and engineering looks excellent. Nice and tight/smooth to turn without being too difficult.
Measures 145mm across the base and approx 130mm between bolt centres for fixing.
