A very good condition, and very little use, Imperial Myford BIG BORE SPINDLE Super 7B PLUS Lathe for sale. With screw cutting
gearbox, and power cross feed, Induction Hardened Bedways, etc. (SK171188). We also have a matching industrial cabinet with full length splash back (not shown) if required, however this lathe can also be bench mounted.
Privately owned by someone who had a second lathe, hence this one has hardly been used. Notice the original and very well defined manufacturing curved milling marks on the front edge of the bed. These quickly get polished out by movement of the saddle up and down the bed at the chuck end of the lathe. To see them this defined tell the whole story. There has been some paint losses on the side of the gearbox, see photo, but this seems to be confined to the gearbox so could be repainted if you feel the need. A bit from the drip tray too. Nothing major.
This Myford was one of the lathes officially finished by Myford in Nottingham. This means that it has to be considered as one of the best Myfords out there and would have passed all Myford's stringent tolerance tests.
Single phase motor with forward and original reverse switch gear.
Comes with a 125mm 3 jaw chuck with key and both sets of jaws, plug/cable & catchplate, and tailstock chuck. There is no faceplate however these are available on line. Other accessories available.
