Probably the best machine I have ever had the pleasure of finding a new home for. Privately owned & cherrished machine, this Myford 254 PLUS is as good as they come. It's hardly been used. All original from the Nottinham factory. The PLUS model gives it a larger turning capability, at 5.34" centre height. Also has the very desirable D1-3 Camlock spindle for chuck and faceplate attaching. 3 jaw chuck has a missing jaw hopefully to come. No unscrewing possibility whilst in reverse. (ZS166067E1C). Imperial.
These lathes are original and not refurbished or repainted.
Single phase motor.
This machine really is a class act and would light up any workshop. Induction Hardened bedways, gearbox, power cross feed and optional extra sliding doors on the cabinet, albeit needing a key !
The previous owner protected the drip tray and even made a folded aluminium cover to stop swarf entering the cross-slide T slots.
